The Downtown Plano Arts District is currently accepting submissions from artists who want to showcase their work at the third annual Plano Artfest. This year’s festival will take place on April 27 from 5-9 p.m. and April 28 from 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Produced by the Historic Downtown Plano Association and the Plano Arts Coalition, Plano Artfest is a community event built around artistic inclusiveness, creative curiosities and cultural connection. The festival takes place in Downtown Plano and is an opportunity for the arts district to highlight Collin County’s most creative residents.

“Whether you are a budding artist or a professional, we encourage you to take part in this year’s Plano Artfest,” said Karen Davis, President of the Plano Arts Coalition and Executive Director for Chamberlain Performing Arts. “There is room for all experience levels and styles at this festival!”

Both visual and performance artists are invited to submit their work. All mediums are welcome. Proposals for exhibitions and installations to be displayed during Plano Artfest will also be accepted for review.

“There will be several opportunities and venues for artists to put their work on display at Artfest,” said Alex Hargis, Executive Director of the Historic Downtown Plano Association. “We want the best our region can offer. Send us bold work and funky ideas that bring people together around art, and 2018 will be an amazing year.”
