CraftWorks Kitchen, a new American tavern concept, will open in Plano’s Lakeside Market in October.

With extensive backgrounds in the restaurant industry, Troy Cooper, who has worked with brands Rockfish, Boston’s and Front Burner, and Mike Hutchinson of Kenny’s Restaurant Group, Rockfish, Twin Peaks and Plano Café have brought their skill sets together to create CraftWorks Kitchen.

Plans for the restaurant include a warm, casual ambience with a cozy dining room that seats about 70 guests, and room for another 15 guests in the clubby bar. The restaurant will also have outdoor patio seating for approximately 50 guests and will offer live entertainment each weekend.

With light interiors, reclaimed wood tables and Edison lighting, CraftWorks Kitchen hopes to become the neighborhood gathering spot where friends and families can enjoy a night out.

The menu will consist of modern American cuisine at a moderate price point. Guests can choose from a variety of signature appetizers like ancho-spiced candied bacon, blue cheese chips and New Orleans-inspired chicken wings. Lunch and dinner entrees include heavier options like steaks, salmon and pasta dishes or lighter choices such as salads, soups and sandwiches. CraftWorks Kitchen will also serve brunch options on the weekend. Beverage offerings will include a signature cocktail list as well as a curated wine list, draft beer and specialty frozen cocktails.

The owners at CraftWorks Kitchen say they are committed to making this restaurant a home away from home for their guests.
