DFW Restaurant Week 2017 | Reservations Now Open

It’s that time of year again to wine and dine for a good cause during the 20th anniversary of DFW Restaurant Week. Presented by Your Metroplex Cadillac Dealers, the charitable event kicks off Aug. 3 at One Arts Plaza in Dallas and continues at more than 130 restaurants across the Metroplex until Aug. 26. General admission and VIP tickets are now on sale at DFWRestaurantWeek.com.

Each participating eatery will offer a fixed price menu (often cheaper than it would normally cost to dine at these fine establishments) with two-course lunches for just $20 and dinners for either $39 or $49. The bonus is that you will feel great knowing that 20 percent of each meal (omitting adult beverages) will be donated to local charities North Texas Food Bank or Lena Pope. To date, this highly anticipated event has donated nearly $7.5 million to charity with a $1 million goal for this year.

Plano foodies can choose from Seasons 52 Plano, Capital Grille Plano, Nicola’s Ristorante Italiano, Roy’s Restaurant, Steve Fields Steak & Lobster Lounge, Del Frisco’s Grille and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House. Reservations are required and must be made ahead of time.

Simon Powell, North Texas Food Bank interim president and CEO, said DFW Restaurant Week has become their largest annual fundraiser and expects this year to be the food bank’s most successful campaign yet. He noted that every dollar donated from each meal provides another three meals for hungry North Texans, he said.

Fellow beneficiary, Lena Pope, has also seen successes from the festivities. CEO Todd A. Landry said DFW Restaurant Week “plays a vital role in helping Lena Pope provide access to high-quality mental health services and educational experiences to all local children and families regardless of income.”

“This annual tradition is so much more than an opportunity to enjoy a great meal,” Todd said. “It’s a chance to make life better for someone else in our community.”
