Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has been showing its support for first responders over the last few months through sandwich donations and fundraising. To date, Dickey’s has donated 7,500 sandwiches to first responders and sold 613,600 Tribute Big Yellow Cups, raising almost $100,000 for the Dickey Foundation which provides helmets, shields, respiratory masks and support.

The First Responder Packs were launched in April. Guests were encouraged to donate bundles of five or 10 sandwiches to these essential workers, and the Dickey family matched every sandwich donated. Shortly after, the First Responder Tribute Big Yellow Cups were launched in July. Dickey’s donated a portion of the proceeds from every cup sold to the Dickey Foundation. The cup promotion ended Sept. 30.

“It has been a joy to have our communities rally with us to show support for local first responders. We are very proud of the success we’ve seen with our First Responder Packs and Tribute Big Yellow Cup promotions… As we continue to take donations for first responders, we hope to provide more assistance to those fighting the fires and hurricane relief efforts,” shared Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.
