Dillas Quesadillas, the Texas-based quesadilla eatery, is opening its third location August 1 at 3510 W. University in McKinney.

Dillas (pronounced dill-uhs) already has locations in Plano (the chain’s first) and Frisco, and now, McKinney. But coming this Fall, Dillas is expanding past the borders of Texas and opening a location in Shreveport, Louisiana.

In honor of the upcoming McKinney opening, Dillas is hosting Community Day on Monday, July 30 between 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. During this time, guests can come experience the crazy-good quesadillas for free.

On Community Day, although meals will be free, Dillas will be accepting voluntary cash donations to benefit the McKinney Education Foundation. The restaurant is keen on giving back to the community and seeks to work with local initiatives surrounding its restaurant locations.

“We’re so excited to be a part of the McKinney community,” said Kyle Gordon, owner and founder. “McKinney is such a great fit with our core values, and we know together we’ll make a big impact on the city!”

Dillas is not your typical Mexican food restaurant – it’s a quesadilla-centric restaurant exploring Mexican food with an American flair. Their scratch-made sauces, house-smoked meats and grilled-to-order veggies are more fresh and flavorful than the average quesadilla.

The “Lone Star,” stuffed full with smoked brisket, fresh red onion, cilantro, Texas BBQ sauce, cheese and jalapeño ranch is a prime example of the freshness Dillas provides through all of its menu items. All food is made fresh each day and nothing is ever frozen.

Since your mouth is probably already watering, come on out to Dillas on Community Day to make a donation to the McKinney Education Foundation and try some of these tempting ‘dillas yourself.
