In this unprecedented time of social distancing and self quarantining, the Interurban Railway Museum has decided to make its historic preservation coloring books available for anyone – and everyone – to download and print from home.

The books include coloring pages showing historic locations around the City of Plano, including the Heritage Farmstead Museum, The Texas Pool and Old City Cemetery. This book is perfect for both children and adults who want to learn more about the most historically significant sites around the City of Plano.

A page from the bilingual version of the Interurban Railway Museum’s coloring book

The first version is an English-only book compiled and written by prior intern Swaneet Mand, and the second is a bilingual English/Spanish version put together by prior intern Sydney Landers. The hand-drawn pictures were created by the museum’s prior board member, Sid Wall, and a museum volunteer, Abagael Heimann.

The museum typically offers the coloring book “Saving Plano’s Treasures” for free to any visitor who comes into the Interurban Railway Museum, but the museum is temporarily closed for the next few weeks. Keep updated on the museum’s operating hours at its website.
