Summer Reading Kick-Off at Plano Libraries

Celebrate the Summer Reading program during kick off parties at all five library locations on Saturday, June 3. There’s plenty of FREE fun for all ages.
  • Haggard Library, 10 a.m. – Noon
  • Watch a balloon artist and build with Legos. 
  • Harrington Library, 10 a.m. – Noon
  • Enjoy balloon and bubble performers; create a group balloon sculpture. 
  • Davis Library, Noon – 2 p.m.
  • Participate in crafts and games; visit DART. 
  • Parr Library, 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Build mazes and cities; blow bubbles; visit DART. 
  • Schimelpfenig Library, 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Play games, experience henna art; add to a mural; explore a fire truck. 
Sign up for Summer Reading online or at the library starting June 1 and set your own reading goal. Register online with your library card, which automatically enters you into a drawing for a $50 gift card. Kids and teens get a free book while supplies last once they meet their reading goals! Funding for the Summer Reading program provided by Friends of the Plano Public Library.
