Hook Line and Sinker sister restaurant Hookline is coming to Granite Park

Dallas-based Del Sur Restaurant Group announced that a sister restaurant to its Dallas eatery, Hook Line & Sinker, will be coming to The Boardwalk at Granite Park. The new concept, “Hookline,” plans to open by this fall.

Hookline will serve what its executive chef Aaron Nelson is calling “Gulf Coast Low Country.”

“Inspiration for our dishes comes from an array of cooking styles from Cajun to Southern comfort. Must try dishes will be Nola Style BBQ Shrimp & Grits, Scallops & Country Ham, low country boils & our raw bar featuring a variety of East coast oysters along with ceviche and classics like peel & eat shrimp. From the New Orleans style bread pudding to the tangy Lulu’s Key Lime Pie the desserts we will be making everything from scratch, onsite daily,” Nelson explained.

We’re hoping that means some Louisiana peeps can find some good Cajun food around here. The beverage program promises to be very simple: the best variety of longneck and draft beers – the perfect accompaniment for the advertised cuisine. (They’ve got cocktails, too.)

Although Hookline is reported to be a casual eatery with reasonable prices, the overall look will be more sophisticated, thanks to Austin-based FÖDA Studio. Roughly 3,200 square feet of interior dining space will be complemented by a 1,000-square-foot outdoor patio, which we’re thinking (and hoping) will be adjacent to The Boardwalk and waterfront area at Granite Park.
