Junior League of Collin County 2017 Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards

At the heart of the Junior League of Collin County (JLCC) is volunteerism. Since their inception 40 years ago, JLCC has contributed over 750,000 volunteer hours to nonprofits serving Collin County. Comprised of nearly 1,000 women dedicated to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers, the Junior League of Collin County strives to inspire others to embrace and celebrate volunteerism.

2017 Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards

To celebrate and encourage volunteerism, JLCC created the Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards to honor local volunteers who are changing our community for good. The 2017 awards were held on April 27 at Piazza on the Green in McKinney. Community leaders Mayor Harry LaRosiliere, Plano City Council Member David Downs, Rebecca Egelston Caso and Sheri Steele served as award presenters, and the keynote speaker was Ann Harris, founding trustee of North Texas Community Giving Foundation.

Excellence in Volunteer Service Awards sponsors included David & Chris Downs, Scheef & Stone, LLP, Blue Posey Floral Design, Agape Resource & Assistance Center, Hillary & Dan Hansen, Roy & Donna Ivy, Maria Moffat and North Texas Community Giving Foundation.
