Whether it’s your favorite seat, favorite dish or favorite cocktail, Lockwood Distilling Co. is making bets your new favorite place to go will be in Richardson. Scheduled to open its doors this fall at 506 Lockwood Drive, the distillery and eatery is owned and operated by hospitality experts Evan and Sally Batt.

Designed with support from April Schneider of F&P Studio, the eatery, distillery and meeting space is outfitted with a modern industrial feel with natural wood, dark metals and exposed brick throughout the seating spaces within the 4,366-square-foot space.

Both Dallas locals, Evan and Sally Batt are known for bringing people together, personally and professionally. It’s the recipe of his love for distilling and cooking combined with her passion for connecting others that made the idea of Lockwood Distilling Co. An experienced leading expert in the distilling industry, Evan had the dream of a place where he could unite together his favorites in a way that his wife, friends, and neighbors could celebrate the big moments and everyday triumphs in their own community.

Joining the culinary team at Lockwood Distilling is Chef Justin Box. Returning to his childhood “stomping grounds,” Justin creates his own twist on upscale comfort food using seasonal and sustainable goods. Combining his flavor profiles with the unique palates and experience of the Batts, the menu is set to feature gourmet sandwiches, small bites, innovative soups and salads. Sweet treats planned for the menu include another local Richardson favorite, Sweet Firefly ice cream and DFW’s all-natural Pop Star popsicles.

Not a born Texan, “but got here as soon as he could,” Chad Julka brings his experience of restaurant management and his passion for organic farming and local food together as the general manager of Lockwood Distilling Co. Outside of the distillery, Chad spends his time growing food in one of his community gardens, hitting the bike trails with his family and as an active parent in the local schools.
