What do you get the person who already has everything? Today Neiman Marcus answered that question for the 58th time with the reveal of its Fantasy Gifts from the 2017 Christmas Book. Ranging in price from $50 to $1.6 million, the exclusive 10-gift collection includes a New Year’s Eve Above Times Square experience and “Yours and Mine” Rolls-Royce Limited-Edition Dawns.
The 2017 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book is the 91st edition; it was first published in 1926 as a 16-page booklet for the retailer’s best customers. Now it has grown to 300 pages with approximately 800 gifts. Half of the gifts in the book are under $250, with the most inexpensive ringing up at $9 (the Omy coloring book). Everything in the book may also be purchased online or in any of the stores, including the Plano location at The Shops at Willow Bend.
“In 1959, Stanley Marcus introduced the Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gift concept to the surprise and delight of our customers,” explained Jim Gold, president and chief merchandising officer of Neiman Marcus Group. This year hundreds of Fantasy Gift submissions were narrowed down to 10 one-of-a-kind objects and experiences to include inside the Christmas Book.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of each Fantasy Gift will be donated to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, which brings art-enriching experiences to youth nationwide. Every dollar from the Paper for Water Fantasy Gifts will go directly to the organization to fund clean water for communities in need.
