Plano Named Third Best City in the U.S. for Families

WalletHub.com published today their suggestions for the best and worst cities for families in the U.S. It’s no surprise to Planoites that our city was rated #3 on the best list by WalletHub.

Their analysts compared the 150 most populated U.S. cities and looked at 36 key metrics that affect family dynamics, such as the relative cost of housing, the quality of local school and health care systems, and the opportunities for fun and recreation. While obviously not an exact science, WalletHub’s findings intend to give prospective movers a sense of which areas offer the best quality of life for families.

According to the report, Plano has the second highest median salary per family and most affordable housing. We also have the fifth lowest divorce rate of the cities compared, and the fourth lowest percentage of families below the poverty level.
