Plano Restaurants Reopening May 1

With Texas Governor Abbott’s announcement on April 27 that Texas restaurants can reopen dining rooms at 25% capacity on May 1, many have already announced plans to do so. Local eateries have taken to social media to announce their plans for reopening (or not), whether reservations are needed and more information on keeping safety and health top of mind.

Is your favorite Plano restaurant reopening its dining room May 1? Check the list below. Restaurants who have announced they are not reopening dining rooms on May 1 are at the very bottom. We will update information as it is received.

Restaurants Reopening Dining Rooms May 1 (or soon after):

1418 Coffee House

1418 Coffee House will open 25% of its café on May 1, operating under normal hours. Curbside and delivery services will still be available.

Amorino

Amorino gelato at Legacy West will reopen May 1.

Bavarian Grill

Bavarian Grill is currently open for dine-in at 25% capacity. The authentic German restaurant is still offering to-go orders from a limited menu, as well as choose-your-own six packs to-go.

bellagreen

All DFW bellagreen locations except Legacy will reopen dining rooms Friday, May 1. All team members will wear face masks and gloves at all times. bellagreen will have strict handwashing and glove changing policies. There will be more frequent sanitation and cleaning with special attention to high contact surfaces. bellagreen is adding hand sanitizer stations, and tables will be strictly spaced with six feet of distance in-between. bellagreen has gone cashless to limit the spread of germs from the exchange of cash. Additionally, bellagreen rolled out curbside delivery for low-contact pickup, and contactless delivery is also available for free with the code: bellaCARES. bellagreen will be open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Benihana

Benihana at The Shops at Legacy is now reopen.

Better Than Sex Desserts

Better Than Sex Desserts will reopen May 1. Its website includes details of precautions the restaurant will be taking, including daily “pre-shift” health checks of staff, making hand sanitizer available to guests and staff and extra sanitation.

Bob’s Steak and Chop House

Bob’s Steak and Chop House at The Shops at Legacy is now reopen.

Bonnie Ruth’s

Bonnie Ruth’s will open May 1 with reservations required. Takeout and curbside service will continue. The restaurant’s Facebook said staff will spend the rest of the week cleaning, sanitizing, organizing and training on the new methods and procedures for service with single use menus, guest protection protocols and spacing patio and regular furniture to ensure social distancing.

Cafe Instanbul

Cafe Instanbul at The Shops at Legacy is now reopen.

Casa Mama

Casa Mama will reopen May 1 at 25% capacity. Guests must make reservations prior by calling 972-943-3900 for the east Plano location.

Craftway Kitchen

Craftway Kitchen will reopen its dining room May 1 at 25% capacity with curbside service still available.

CRU Food & Wine Bar

CRU Food & Wine Bar will be open at all locations May 1 for seating in the dining room at 25% capacity.  They will be open for Sunday Brunch starting this Sunday and are taking reservations for Mother’s Day brunch (from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 10th). The dining rooms have been set up to have tables at least 6 feet apart and a playbook is being utilized on best practices to keep guests and staff safe during service.  This includes and is not limited to, complete sanitation of tables and chairs after every guest, servers wearing gloves and masks, one-time use menus, no tables over 6 guests, continuous sanitation of high traffic and high contact points, employees will have their temperatures checked when they arrive and employees suspecting any symptoms will be sent home immediately.
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse at Legacy West will reopen its dining room May 1.

Del Frisco’s Grille

Del Frisco’s Grille will be opening Friday, May 1. It will be accepting online reservations and still offering curbside pickup.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

All Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations will reopen dining rooms on Friday, May 1. Dickey’s opening procedure is in accordance to state and local guidelines on a market appropriate basis at 25% dine-in and patio capacity. Dickey’s Pit Crews are equipped with gloves and face masks and are continually cleaning all areas of its restaurants with a hydrogen peroxide-based disinfectant. Dickey’s has been serving guests through pickup, curbside service and delivery through online ordering nationwide and will continue to do so. The barbecue pit altered its dining rooms from a self-serve model to a we-serve model by moving all of its communal touch points to back-of-house, such as barbecue sauce, silverware and free ice cream. In addition, Dickey’s is also installing hand sanitizing stations by its entrances at all locations. Hours vary by location.

Dunkin Donuts

Dunkin Donuts at The Shops at Legacy is now reopen.

El Fenix

Starting this Friday, May 1, the El Fenix Plano location will be available for dine-in service both inside and outside on patios at 25% capacity while still following CDC guidelines, social distancing and enhanced cleaning protocols. New hours are Sunday-Thursday 11am-9pm and open till 10pm Friday and Saturday.

Fireside Pies

Fire Pies Legacy Legacy location will reopen May 1 with a maximum occupancy of 50 guests. There will be no patio seating offered and no reservations accepted. Hours are 4-9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. All Fireside Pies locations will offer $10 pies and $10 salads to-go and dine-in. Other promotions like the Fireside Family Box and Take & Bake Kit will just be offered as to-go/delivery options. The Legacy location will be open from 4-10 p.m. daily until May 8. Then it will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekends.

Fish Shack

Fish Shack in downtown Plano will reopen its dining room May 1. Hours are Sun – Thurs – 10:30am to 10pm; Fri – Sat – 10:30am to 11pm.

Fogo de Chao

Fogo de Chao Plano will reopen for dine-in service May 6. Reservations will be limited to stay within 25% capacity and maintain proper social distancing. Tables will be limited to 6 guests per table. Visit the website to make a reservation, or call 469-606-1000.

Franchise Bar & Grill

Franchise Bar & Grill will reopen May 1 at 25% capacity.

Friend & Foe Board Game Café

Friend & Foe Board Game Café will be opening May 1 for dine-in at limited capacity, which is 15 total people in the store including employees. Due to limited seating, Friend & Foe will operate dine-in with reservations only.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop will open some of its Dallas-Fort Worth locations at 25% capacity on May 1. Locations include Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Granbury, Arlington, North Richland Hills, Southlake, Denton, Roanoke, Carrollton, Grand Prairie, Irving, Mansfield, Midlothian, Flower Mound, Farmers Branch, Lewisville, Little Elm, Euless, Burleson, Cedar Hill, and Wylie. Please call your local Fuzzy’s Taco Shop for updated hours.

Half Shells

Half Shells at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Haywire

Haywire will reopen for reservations only, 4-10 p.m. daily and weekend brunch beginning at 10 a.m. Visit the website to reserve. Delivery and curbside service will still be offered. The restaurant said in a Facebook post it is committed to ensuring a very safe environment for guests and team members, including the use of socially distanced seating and single-use, touch-free menus.

Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Jimmy John’s

Jimmy John’s #2570 located at 6141 Windhaven Parkway will open its dining room to 25% capacity on May 1. The outdoor patio is open, and curbside service, to-go orders and contactless delivery will still be offered. All employees are wearing masks and gloves with temperatures being taken prior to shift start. Hand sanitizer is available for customers. Thorough cleaning of store and high traffic areas continues throughout the day.

KAI

KAI restaurant at Legacy West will reopen May 7.

Kenny’s Burger Joint

Kenny’s Burger Joint will reopen the dining room of both locations  at 25% capacity. Hours will be Sun-Thurs 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri-Sat 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Kenny’s East Coast Pizza

Kenny’s East Coast Pizza will reopen its dining room May 1 at 25% capacity. Hours will be Sun-Thurs 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri-Sat 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Kenny’s Smoke House

Kenny’s Smoke House will reopen its dining room on May 4 at 25% capacity. Hours will be Sun-Thurs 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri-Sat 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Kilwins

Kilwins at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Kona Grill

Kona Grill is now open with a 25% seating capacity.

Legacy Hall

Legacy Hall will reopen dine-in service on May 8 in order to have time to train staff in safety and sanitation measures.

Maggiano’s Little Italy

Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurants in DFW, located at 205 NorthPark Center in Dallas and 6001 W. Park Blvd. in Plano, have reopened their dining rooms. Both locations are open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Brunch will not be served for the time being. The Italian-American restaurant reopened with these new safety precautions in place:

  • Maggiano’s is requesting that all guests make a reservation at maggianos.com or over the phone.
  • If  guests don’t have a reservation or arrive early for their reservation, they could be asked to wait outside the restaurant due to limited occupancy regulations.
  • Each restaurant has gone through a 48-hour sanitizing and cleaning process following strict CDC guidelines.
  • Guests will be seated at tables at least 6 feet from other seated tables to maintain social distancing.
  • The entire service team will be wearing masks and gloves for safety.
  • Though not required, guests are encouraged to wear masks into the restaurant as they are being seated.

Maggiano’s Little Italy is still offering curbside orders and delivery.

Main Street Bakery

Main Street Bakery at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Mama Pita

Mama Pita at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Mexican Bar Co.

Mexican Bar Co. will reopen May 1. Curbside pick-up will still be available. Hours the week of May 4: Closed Monday; Tuesday 11am – 8pm; Wednesday 11am – 8pm; Thursday 11am – 10pm; Friday 11am – 10pm; Saturday 11am – 10pm; Sunday 11am – 8pm.

Mexican Sugar

Mexican Sugar will be open with limited seating on May 1. Reservations are highly recommended. Curbside service will continue to be offered.

Mi Cocina

Mi Cocina at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

On The Border

All On The Border DFW locations will reopen dining rooms on Wednesday, May 6. All team members will be wearing masks and gloves. On the Border is removing tables from service to follow social distancing protocols and local regulations on number of customers. On The Border is putting in enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures, including dedicating team members to the sole job of cleaning surfaces. There will be disposable menus, and guests will be required to stay outside until their table is ready. There will not be any bar-top service, but drinks will still be available. There will be a limited menu, as items that were more hands-on have been removed. Hours vary by location.

Original ChopShop

All Original ChopShop DFW locations except Preston Park Village will reopen dining rooms Friday, May 1. All team members will wear facemasks and gloves at all times. Original ChopShop will have strict handwashing and glove changing policies. Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Potbelly Sandwich Shop at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Princi Italia

Both Princi Italia locations will open their dining rooms for dinner service at 5:00 pm, May 1 at 25% capacity.  They will remain open for dinner service only until May 5. The Plano location will open for normal business hours starting at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 5. Seasons 52 reopened its dining rooms May 1 for lunch and dinner service.

Shell Shack

Shell Shack will be open and running at 25% occupancy on Friday, May 1. Take-out and delivery will still be offered.  Normal business hours will be 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. seven days a week.

Sixty Vines

Sixty Vines will reopen dine-in May 1 by reservation only. Health and safety measures taken will include touch-free and single use menus, six-foot distance floor markers, tables rearranged at six-feet apart, masks and gloves on all staff and a designated Sanitation Specialist whose sole responsibility is to ensure everyone is abiding by safety protocol.

Snap Kitchen

Snap Kitchen at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Starbucks

Starbucks at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Starbucks Reserve

Starbucks Reserve at Legacy West will reopen May 6.

Sprinkles

Sprinkles at Legacy West will reopen May 1.

Taverna

Taverna restaurant at Legacy West will reopen May 1.

The Capital Grille

The Capital Grille at The Shops at Legacy is now open.

Toulouse

Toulouse restaurant at Legacy West will reopen May 7.

Urban Crust

Urban Crust will be opening May 1 with adjusted hours 11 a.m.-9 p.m. with full menu. They are also offering 10% off to-go regular menu items as well.

Urban Rio

Urban Rio will be opening May 1 with adjusted hours 11 a.m.-9 p.m. with full menu. They are also offering 10% off to-go regular menu items as well.

Village Burger Bar Legacy

Village Burger Bar Legacy location will reopen its dining room May 1. Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday 11am-10pm and Friday & Saturday open till 12am.

Whiskey Cake

Whiskey Cake is reopening its dining rooms at 25% capacity May 1. Reservations must be made on the website before arrival.

Whistle Britches

Whistle Britches Willow Bend and Dallas locations will reopen May 1 at a limited capacity. The company posted on Facebook that it is in the process of planning best practices to keep guests and staff safe.

XO Coffee & Bistro

XO Coffee & Bistro will be open May 1 with reduced seating, and will still offer curbside service. New hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily.

Ye Ole Butcher Shop

Ye Ole Butcher Shop will reopen its dining room May 1 at 25% capacity.


Restaurants Keeping Dining Rooms Closed:

Dubs Tea N’ Eats

Dubs Tea N’ Eats will not be reopening on May 1 to sit-down customers.  The restaurant will continue to offer take-out and curbside orders.  They are opening the Tea Bar and adding iced tea by the cup curbside from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. Eighteen flavors of tea, plus lemonade and limeade options will be available. Dubs will not be refilling reusable cups but will extend its Loyaltea discount to those customers who bring the cup with them.

In-Fretta

In-Fretta pizza restaurant says it has no plans to open its dining room soon but will continue offering to-go or delivery service.

Shipley’s Plano

Shipley’s Plano says it will not be opening its dining area, but the drive-thru remains open. The lobby is open for take-out orders only.

Taverna Rossa

Taverna Rossa, owned by 33 Restaurant Group, announced it has decided to continue offering to-go and curbside service only at this time, saying they will continue to monitor the situation day-by-day to determine when it’s the right time to return to full-service.

The Plano Tortilla Factory

The Plano Tortilla Factory will continue to provide curbside service as well as delivery, but will not be opening the dining area yet. It will continue to monitor the situation going forward.

Tommy Bahama

Tommy Bahama restaurant and bar will reopen for take-out only on May 3. The retail store in this location will also open. All openings will be in accordance with each state’s capacity limit and other health and safety regulations.

Union Bear Brewing Co.

Union Bear Brewing Co., also owned by 33 Restaurant Group, announced it has decided to continue offering to-go and curbside service only at this time, saying they will continue to monitor the situation day-by-day to determine when it’s the right time to return to full-service.
