Dickens in Downtown Plano
Dickens is a free, annual event produced by the City of Plano. Nestled in the heart of the Downtown Plano Arts District, guests can enjoy live entertainment, delicious food, a variety of attractions, and a visit from Santa. Plus, many of the shops and restaurants stay open late for visitors.
Some of the highlights for this year include snow tubing slides, the Ice Fights where expert ice sculptors compete for applause, horse-drawn carriage rides and the annual tree lighting ceremony at Haggard Park. And for the first time ever, Dickens 2017 will feature a Holiday Car Show along 15th Street presented by the DFW Camaro Club. Who will revelers choose as the best holiday decorated car?
Enjoy four stages of entertainment:
· Community Stage – featuring Plano Senior High choir, Pogue Entertainment, Plano Children’s Theater, Clark High School Choir, Meadow Jazz Orchestra
· Saigling Stage – featuring 15th Street Singers, Fenton Hip Hop dancers, Williams High School, Jaxxon Mueller
· Ice Fight Stage – 7:30-8:15p
