Lantern Light 2017 at Heritage Farmstead
The Heritage Farmstead Museum will be transformed into an old-fashioned, twinkly-lighted winter wonderland for its annual holiday celebration, Lantern Light. Step back in time to 1929 during The Great Texas Snow, and slide down an actual snow hill! Stroll the four-acre site and enjoy holiday music, family activities, wagon rides, kids games and crafts, food and more.
Admission to Lantern Light is $5 and will include tours of the historic Farrell Wilson House, childrens’ crafts in the one-room school house, wagon rides, candle dipping, historic demonstrations, storytelling, strolling carolers and songs of the season in the pole barn. There will be delicious treats on sale, as well as photos with Santa.
For the first time, there will be SNOW in the meadow and sledding for all to enjoy. Sledding is $2 per run, three runs for $5 or unlimited runs via a bracelet purchased for $10. Hope you will come celebrate the holidays on the farm!
