Kevin Simons, owner of Plano print shop Quick Draw Shirts, has been printing t-shirts for local restaurants and small businesses for years now. With so many Plano businesses experiencing lack of income during the COVID-19 pandemic, he is pitching in to help in the best way he knows how: printing more t-shirts.
Kevin had the idea to allow businesses to sign up for his “Support Local” t-shirt promotion. When a local business signs up, online shoppers can purchase a design supporting that sponsored business, and $10 of the purchase goes back to that business.
XO Coffee in Downtown Plano is one of the first to sign up for the partnership.
With this partnership, the sponsored business does not need to set up an online store or purchase a large amount of inventory prior to selling. Quick Draw Shirts will fulfill orders, so the sponsored business does not even need to worry about mailing out orders.
“It helps us, it helps them,” Kevin said. “There’s no risk, no inventory, no online store to worry about.”
