Born in 2011 out of a love for Texas and great design, Tumbleweed TexStyles has grown and evolved as a company in the last nine years. What was once a small business created by two friends and Frisco teachers, Jeb Matulich and Brian Wysong, is now a widely worn apparel and lifestyle brand with its first brick-and-mortar location opening this month.

Tumbleweed TexStyles’ flagship store will be located in the Frisco Rail District in a development called The Patios. On top of launching the store, the company is also introducing leather goods and jewelry, only available in-store initially.

“We’re taking our brand from a t-shirt company to a Texas-inspired apparel and lifestyle brand – home goods, accessories, the whole gamut. We want to provide people with things they’d wear or bring to concerts, picnics, hiking, fishing, traveling,” shared Brian.

Jeb – the original artist behind the brand’s designs – gets his inspiration from his undeniable familiarity with many parts across the state of Texas. He was born in Lubbock but calls New Braunfels home, since his parents have lived there since 1986. Outside of those cities, he has also lived in San Antonio, Idalou, Temple, Texarkana, Pampa, Azle, Lufkin, Canyon Lake, Dallas and now Frisco.

“It’s really been fun over the years experiencing the growth that we’ve had. The store was kind of the next thing on our list to really build our brand. We are excited to have a place that the community can come to touch and feel our product, and a place where we can meet new people and have conversations with our followers,” shared Jeb.

With the motto “Drift and Explore,” Tumbleweed TexStyles is all about getting outside, adventuring and living a joy-filled life in our great state. The guys hope to continue encouraging that lifestyle for their customers as they expand their offerings.

Join Jeb and Brian at their grand opening this Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and receive a free logo t-shirt and canvas bag with your purchase while supplies last.
