“We wish to thank the rapid response of our Collin College Police Department, Plano Police Department and Collin College leadership, emergency management response teams, counselors, and student services. We appreciated all student residents’ cooperation during the shelter in place,” a statement from the college said.
Plano Mayor John Muns joined several other mayors with concerns about the value of their contribution to DART for the services the city utilizes.
After the DOJ closed their investigation into the mosque, the East Plano Islamic Center filed a lawsuit in Travis County district court.
Collin County’s plans to move to hand-marked paper ballots is getting pushback from a bipartisan voting rights group that warns the change will lead to inefficiencies and inaccuracies.
