Darna is turning one, and they're celebrating with live music, a special menu and a live camel for photo opps.

Darna Mediterranean Eatery is celebrating its one year anniversary later this month with a special menu, live music from Dave Garrison and photo opps with a live camel.

“Our one-year anniversary is a milestone we are incredibly proud of,” said Yaser Khalaf, the visionary behind Darna Mediterranean Eatery and revolutionary restaurateur in North Texas. “Our goal for Darna was to bring the true essence of Mediterranean cuisine and culture to Plano, and the overwhelming support and positive feedback we’ve received from our customers and community has exceeded our expectations. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re excited to continue serving our community for many more years to come.”

The special anniversary menu will feature turmeric roasted cauliflower, sauteed blue mussels, scallops and praws, lamb ragu hummus, moroccan lamb couscous, a Darna Mezza Sampler, the Darna Live Wood Kebab Board, paella, chicken kebab, lamb ragu pasta, beef filet kebab, kofta kebab, and seafood risotto.

Located in the Shops at Legacy West, Darna serves up popular eats from countries with ties to the historic spice routes on the Silk Road. Khalaf conceptualized the restaurant after the communal and fusion-based dining experiences of his youth.

The restaurant also features a Turkish coffee bar, full-service alcohol bar, deli with ready-to-eat offerings, full service dining and quick-service stations.
