When artist Yesi Fortuna saw her Black friends and neighbors grieving following the death of George Floyd last summer, she felt compelled to reach out. The results of her outreach can be seen Feb. 1-28 at Galleria Dallas when Fortuna and her team at Fort Lion Studio will open “Black is Beautiful,” a moving photographic exhibit. The free exhibition showcases portraits of a wide array of Black families and community leaders. The exhibit will be located on Level I on the gallery wall across from Apple.
