Jean Hsu （簡金環):
Making good use of acrylic, influenced by the master Claude Monet, and using the color block stacking method, she presents a unique visual experience of her art work. She has visited the European and Japanese art museums hundreds of times in the past 10 years.
She is fond of art and literature, skillful in sketches, dexterous in depicting the real. In recent years she concentrated on traditional Chinese painting, using old masters as her teachers. She focuses on the study of the lives of the classical literati, pursuing “in poetry there is painting, in painting there is poetry.”
She loved calligraphy when she was young. In recent years, she has devoted herself to the pursuit of higher levels of painting and calligraphy. She enjoys painting flowers, birds and landscapes. In the landscape paintings, there is the meaning and legacy of Mr. Huang Junxi (黃君璧).
Alice Kuan (黎明珠):
She is particularly fascinated by the painting of Chinese artists. Many of her works depict her daughter’s beautiful ballet postures and have the extraordinary subtle charm of oriental art.
Jenney Chang (黃佩珍):
She has been immersed in the art of Chinese and Western painting for more than 40 years. For this exhibition, she has painted Cowboy Life in Texas in the special style of Chinese painting. She also has recently visited many national parks in the United States and presents her art by using Chinese scatter perspectives to convey the beautiful scenery from the trip.
