The celebration of the Lunar New Year officially begins on Feb. 12 and runs through Feb. 26.

Galleria Dallas is celebrating with an art installation of more than 200 enormous red lanterns hanging over the shopping center’s iconic ice skating rink to celebrate the Year of the Ox.  The beautiful lantern art installation will remain on display through Tuesday, March 2.

A colorful dragon costume is also installed overhead near Sephora on Level 1. The costume, supplied by the HD Lion Dance Foundation, will be on display through Feb. 28.

“Dallas is such a multicultural city,” said Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed.  “Galleria Dallas is excited to share a small part in the Lunar New Year celebration this year.  We’re committed to honoring our diverse, international visitor base with cultural events each year.”
