Are unused and expired drugs overtaking your medicine cabinet? Clean out the house during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Bring your people and pet drugs to this free event offered by the Plano Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). During the drive-through event, simply:
  • Black out your name and address on the prescription bottles, or
  • Pour medications directly into a disposable bag and bring it
Medicines in tablets, capsules and solid forms are accepted. This is a safe and legal way to get rid of prescription pain pills and controlled-substance medications which can only be accepted for disposal with law enforcement present.
Visit drop-off sites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
  • Clark High School, 523 W. Spring Creek Pkwy.
  • Plano East Senior High School, 3000 Los Rios Blvd.
  • Plano Senior High School, 2200 Independence Pkwy.
  • Plano West Senior High School, 5601 W. Parker Rd.
Needles, syringes and inhalers are not accepted at this event. Visit our website for safe disposal options for sharps and other medical waste.
