The Art Gallery at Collin College will host the exhibition “Neal Cox: Cameras and Images,” from Wednesday, Sept. 25 through Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the Plano Campus (Spring Creek). A reception will be held, free and open to the public, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Neal Cox, professor of printmaking at Stephen F. Austin University, is known for crafting pinhole cameras that capture images, exposing film, and recording pictures from multiple angles, such as Mt. Fujiyama in the round. He also creates art using mathematical grids and works in many formats. Cox will exhibit both 2D and 3D works in this exhibition.

Visitors are encouraged to bring lunch and join faculty, staff, and students for the ART CAFÉ brown bag series in the gallery from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 to hear Collin College Gallery Director Julie Shipp interview Cox about his recent artwork.

The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus (Spring Creek), Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday-Saturday.
