Weir’s Furniture closes all stores after 78 years

More than two decades after opening, the store located at 5801 Preston Road is holding a sale for its closing with up to 30% off.

Dallas-based Weir’s Furniture is closing after 78 years, including its Plano store.

“As we reflect on 78 years of serving this wonderful community, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude,” Weir’s Furniture wrote in the announcement. “From our earliest days practicing the Golden Rule to building four locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, it has been your trust, loyalty, and support that brought our mission to life.”

Weir’s is promoting a closing sale with “up to 30% off.” The Plano store is located at 5801 Preston Road.

“As we close this chapter, we carry forward memories of decades of relationships built on trust and shared purpose. Our gratitude for your support is immeasurable, and we are humbled that you chose Weir’s time and again,” the family wrote. “Although the doors may be closing, the impact of your support — and the legacy of faith, service, and integrity that have defined Weir’s — will remain with us always.”
