Junior League of Collin County Celebrates 40 Years with 40 Projects in a Day

Totaling 300 volunteers, Junior League of Collin County members and their families contributed 1,200 hours working on 40 projects throughout Collin County on March 25.

This day of service was part of JLCC’s 40th anniversary celebration and included a reception with presentations by former Texas State Senator Florence Shapiro and former mayor Pat Evans — both founders of the Plano Service League, known today as the Junior League of Collin County.

JLCC has made a substantial impact on numerous non-profits throughout Collin County by giving 750,619 volunteer hours and $7,252,726 in funds over the last 40 years. The League, a major advocate for volunteerism, is a group of 900 women eededicated to improving the community while empowering one another through leadership.
