The Hub, which opened in 2015 in Seaside, Florida, is an outdoor recreation space designed to engage the community through entertainment and dining. Now, JaRyCo, an Allen-based developer, is bringing The Hub to The Farm in Allen.
The Hub will take up 2.67 acres of The Farm and will be located across from West Lake Park. The space will have a stage for live music, televised sports and movies; a covered lawn surrounded by nine restaurants, an ice cream shop, bars and retail; plenty of shared dining space; as well as outdoor seating space. Construction is slated to finish in 2022.
“The Hub perfectly aligns with our mission to create a master-planned, walkable community oriented around families. As developers and operators, The Hub ensures its event spaces are activated daily. Plus, the open-air setup is perfect for today’s circumstances, allowing The Farm in Allen’s tenants and patrons to safely unwind in their own backyard,” shared JaRyCo President Bruce Heller.
This will be The Hub’s first North Texas location. It has become a destination to visit in the Florida panhandle.
“The Hub transforms everyday experiences like grabbing a bite to eat, listening to some music or watching a game into something festive in an inviting space made for the community to share,” shared founder and owner of The Hub Brad Zeitlin.
The development of The Farm, a 135-acre mixed-use development at Sam Rayburn Tollway at Alma Drive, was announced in July 2020. The development is designed to be a premier place to live, work and play with more than 1.6 million square feet of office, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-key hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, townhomes and 2,400 urban residential units.
It is a partnership between JaRyCo and Bob Johnson to develop his farmland into a space for the community. Construction is planned to begin in early 2021.
