Tony and Golden Globe-winning Broadway star Bernadette Peters is coming to Plano to perform with Plano Symphony Orchestra on August 30.

On Saturday, Aug. 30, the Plano Symphony Orchestra (PSO) will host An Evening with Bernadette Peters and the Plano Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerson Symphony Center.

“The PSO is thrilled to present, in concert with our orchestra, the incredible Bernadette Peters,” said Greg Patterson, CEO/president. “Our goal is to expand our offerings and our performance footprint so more and more audiences throughout North Texas can enjoy all kinds of music from our orchestra.”

Peters is a three-time Tony winner, Golden Globe winner, four-time Emmy nominee and four-time Grammy nominee.

She has recently starred on Broadway’s Old Friends; Hello, Dolly!; Follies, A Little Night Music and Gypsy. On the big screen and television, she’s appeared in anything from cult-followed TV dramas like Grey’s Anatomy to Ugly Betty.

The accolades go on and on. She’s recorded six solo albums. Cofounded a dog and cat adoption event for shelter animals in the tristate area. Authored three children’s books. And now she’s sharing the stage with our very own orchestra for one night only.

An Evening with Bernadette Peters and the Plano Symphony Orchestra will feature songs from Rodgers, Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim and Jerry Herman. Tickets are available online now.
