Collin College fine arts professors will have the chance to showcase their skills during the school’s annual art faculty exhibition. The event begins this Thursday, Sept. 1, and runs through Sept. 22. To mark the occasion, a reception will be held in the gallery from 3 to 6 p.m. this Thursday. That event is free and open to the public.
School officials say the annual exhibition is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the courses offered at Collin College. It will also allow the public to see just what professors come up with in their own studios. Visitors can expect to see a diversity of media and styles.
Collin College offers a number of art courses including 2-D design, 3-D design, ceramics, communications design, digital arts, drawing, figure drawing, jewelry/art metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and watercolor.
The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway. Gallery hours are: 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday and Saturday
