Gloria Jean’s Coffees to Expand into Plano

California-based Gloria Jean’s Coffees will be expanding into the Plano area later this year, with 3-5 locations opening in our city. The coffee retailer already sees a significant percentage of its e-commerce sales from Plano. Moving into this area will better serve an already-interested customer, according to Laina Sullivan, director of franchise development for Retail Food Group USA, Gloria Jean’s parent company.

The Plano locations will have whole beans for sale, as well as a coffee bar serving ice-blended chillers, mochas, lattes, hot cocoa, pastries and other snacks.

Gloria Jean’s Coffees was founded in 1979 outside Chicago by the company’s namesake, Gloria Jean Kvetko. The brand now has nearly 900 locations worldwide, with more than 60 in the U.S. The exact locations in Plano have not yet been disclosed.
