Never get caught without happy hour or date night plans again. Instahap, the mobile app that allows users to find the best local food and drink deals, launched this June in DFW.
Instahap was founded by locals Richard Helppie-Schmieder, who resides in Grapevine, and Shayne Hickey, who currently lives in Plano. Both having young families, they wanted to be able to quickly find special offers near them, whether it be drink discounts for happy hour, special offers on food or just fun activities such as trivia nights and live music.
“We were always looking for new local experiences to take our wives out on dates, which sparked the idea in 2018 for the bigger concept,” said Richard.
Users of Instahap are able to customize their search into four different categories: alcohol, non-alcohol, food and things to do. With these options, users can explore new places in town or expand their networking relations by visiting new businesses in the area.
Once users choose where they want to go, they can even book Uber transportation directly through Instahap and be on their way.
The app intends to benefit both users and the businesses who sign up to be featured. “We are here to partner up with local businesses to get their deals out to the community and for the community to experience local deals they might otherwise of miss out on without Instahap,” said Shane.
