The cast of Scrooge is doing a one-night free reading of A Christmas Carol on Tuesday, December 19 with snacks, dessert and beverages.

North Texas Performing Arts is hosting a one-night only dramatic reading of A Christmas Carol next week.

The reading will be presented by members of the 2023 Scrooge cast. A Christmas Carol recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly businessman and known Christmas hater who is visited in his sleep by three spirits who teach him the meaning of Christmas.

The event is free to the public and will include snacks, desserts and beverages. The book takes less than two hours to read, according to ReadingLength.com.

The A Christmas Carol reading will take place at the Brodie Copeland Theatre at 6121 W Park Blvd, Ste. B216 on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Free tickets can be reserved online.
