By way of California, Sammer Arif has been a Texan since age 5. That pretty much counts as a state native in these parts.

Fast-forward to today: Sam & GO Heating, Air & Plumbing are the trusted, go-to resource when neighbors need HVAC & Plumbing solutions.

More than just owner of GO Heating, Air & Plumbing in Plano, Sam built the company from the ground up and has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, both on the commercial and residential sides of the business. Before starting GO Heating, Air & Plumbing, Sam was part of the engineering and installation team for the HVAC systems at the State Farm and Toyota headquarters in Plano.

GO Heating, Air & Plumbing is unique in that Sam, as the owner and an HVAC engineer, brings a higher level of understanding and value to the residential experience.

“I train my guys as solution providers. Before I offer a solution in someone’s home, I have tested it in my own home and offer a personal stamp of approval,” he says.

Sam says his favorite part of the job is building his team from the office staff to the field techs. So that they can provide the best service and experience to their customers.

“Building the right team is a must for the customers’ experience and satisfaction,” Sam says.

The weirdest part of the job? Finding dead animals in duct work, air conditioning vents or drain lines.

“I’ve started out doing grunt work, and worked my way up,” he says.

Sam says he and his team are not your average AC & Plumbing guys.

“Each solution is custom-tailored to an individual home’s needs, owner values and wants,” he says. “A home’s HVAC & Plumbing should be treated just like a person’s health: No one should wait until there’s a serious problem, but when one arises, we can fix it.

“Preventative maintenance catches many potential issues before they become ‘serious issues,’” he says. Sam recommends AC checks twice a year and plumbing checks annually. GO also markets and installs whole-home purifiers, along with duct and AC cleaning, among a range of services.

When not running the business, Sam enjoys home projects with family. As a Dad to five children ages 7 to 16, Sam stays busy with school and sports activities, and he puts grilling at the top of his avocational list.

“I enjoy feeding everybody, taking road trips and getting into nature,” he says.
