Collin College presents Sound Box – Please Touch exhibition

The exhibition creates an immersive and interactive installation featuring a variety of sound boxes made by local artists and musicians.

The Art Gallery at Collin College Plano Campus will host the exhibition Sound Box – Please Touch from Nov. 3-14.

The exhibition creates an immersive and interactive installation featuring a variety of sound boxes made by local artists and musicians. Throughout the exhibition, visitors are encouraged to explore the possibilities of each box as they create and experience the unique sonic environment that results, according to a press release.

The public is welcome to join faculty, staff and students for an Artist Talk in the gallery from 1-1:45 p.m. on Nov. 9 to hear Professor Chris Morgan discuss the exhibition. A public reception for the exhibition will be held on Nov. 14 from 4-7 p.m.

The exhibition, artist talk and reception are free and open to the public.

According to Collin College, the mission of The Art Gallery is to “serve as a center for aesthetic exploration through the creative process of Collin College Fine Arts faculty and students, professional artists and art organizations.

The Art Gallery is located at Collin College Plano Campus at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway inside the A module (northmost, by the tennis courts) and can be found by turning left once inside the east entrance and following the hallway all the way down before turning left at the gymnasium. The gallery hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
