The Dog Stop, a dog care brand with franchises across the United States, opened their new Plano location this weekend with a grand opening celebration.
The celebration included giveaways, FC Dallas tickets, raffle baskets, dog and human treats and tours of the facility.
The Dog Stop offers luxury dog boarding accommodations, dog daycare, grooming treatments and a holistic retail store.
“I’ve experienced The Dog Stop’s wonderful catering to every dog’s specialized needs first hand,” said David Dishman, a Planoite and co-owner of the The Dog Stop Plano. “I am so excited to bring this incredible franchise to the Plano community, and I look forward to seeing the benefits and high-quality dog care The Dog Stop will bring to my fellow Plano residents.”
David and his wife and co-owner, Leigh Ann, have resided in Plano for 20 years, where David has spent his time as a credit counselor after retiring from the Army. Leigh Ann works as a project manager for a ground and air ambulance company.

Owned and operated by dog people since 2009, The Dog Stop “understands the complex process involved in dog care and knows that there is no such thing as a one size fits all approach … Expert staff at each location stay up-to-date on the ever-changing science that applies to dog care, behavior, grooming and nutrition.”

The Dog Stop is located at 1937 W Parker Road Suite B and is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
