City of Plano Dog Parks Reopen May 21

The City of Plano will reopen its dog parks to the public May 21. Visitors are encouraged to follow animal ordinances, including leash laws and waste disposal, and to practice distancing guidelines while enjoying the parks.

Open Sunrise – 10:30 p.m. Wednesday – Monday
Open 4 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Tuesday

Dog Park at Jack Carter Park
2215 Pleasant Valley Dr.
Plano, TX 75023
Open Sunrise – 10:30 p.m. Friday – Wednesday
Open 4 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Thursday

Dog Park at Windhaven Meadows Park
5400 Windhaven Parkway
Plano, TX 75093
Open Sunrise – 10:30 p.m. Thursday – Tuesday
Open 4 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Wednesday

The Carpenter Park Skate Park will also reopen to the public May 21. Park rules and ordinances must be followed. For residents who enjoy the great outdoors, Plano’s 85 parks and nature preserves never closed, but distancing measures continue to be encouraged in order to keep parks open at this time. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve closes on Wednesdays from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. for weekly maintenance and restoration.
