During the week of January 4-9, 2016, students from FFA chapters and 4-H clubs throughout Collin County displayed their hard work at the 2016 Collin County Junior Livestock Show, hosted by the Collin County Junior Livestock Association. Held at the Myers Park and Event Center in McKinney, from Monday through Friday students showed their entries in the categories of swine, sheep, goats, rabbits, poultry, cattle, horticulture and shop projects.
On Saturday, January 9th, an awards ceremony and livestock auction were held. The livestock auction was called by auctioneers Damon Motley and Phillip Pierceall. The Princesses, Misses and Queens from each FFA chapter or school also received awards based on contests of personality, presentation and salesmanship. Morgan Norman from the Plano FFA chapter was named the overall Collin County Junior Livestock Show Queen.
