As 2024 comes to an end, here’s our five most read stories of the year.

1. Gothic-themed restaurant coming soon to Tollway and Park

Haunted Castle Cafe has been open for several months now, garnering hundreds of reviews from the public mostly praising the ambience and citing a “Rainforest Cafe effect” — high prices for the concept and average food. We haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, so feel free to leave a comment and let us know if these reviews are true. 

2. Collective Health opens Plano office

The office aimed to hire over 50 employees before the new year. According to their website, there are open positions for a Spanish-speaking member advocate, a senior staff solutions architect and a senior product manager.

3. Conn’s HomePlus files for bankruptcy, posts going-out-of-business sale

All Conn’s locations are officially closed, though payments for financed products continue on the store’s website.

4. Late Friday night multi-departmental pursuit results in DWI arrest

A now 27-year-old is currently in Collin County jail after being arrested on Nov. 30 and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft of property, evading arrest detention, evading arrest detention with a vehicle and manufacturing/delivering/possessing over 400 grams of a group 1 drug.
