Kenny's Restaurant Group is giving out free appetizers to all who donate toys at Kenny's Burger Joint/Kenny's East Coast Pizza until Dec. 8.

The season of giving is upon us, and Kenny’s Restaurant Group is celebrating by collecting children’s toys for Toys for Tots.

Now through Dec. 8, all Kenny’s Restaurants will provide a free appetizer to any guest who brings in a new, unwrapped toy or gift for Toys for Tots.

“The holiday season is very special to us,” Chef/Owner Kenny Bowers said. “We want to help make the season merry and bright for thousands of kids.”

Kenny’s Restaurant Group has two locations in Plano: Kenny’s East Coast Pizza at 4701 W Park Blvd and Kenny’s Burger Joint at 2809 Preston Rd.

Kenny’s Restaurant Group believes that “every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.”

Collin County’s chapter of Toys for Tots distributed 38,789 toys and supported 16,261 children across the county in 2022. The program, officially named the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, collects new, unwrapped toys from October to December and distributes them in communities where a Marine Corps Reserve Unit is located through partnerships with area nonprofits.

The chapter has also created a Walmart Wishlist available online that details toys for ages 0-12.

Other locations in Plano approved to accept Toys for Tots donations include Minnie’s Food Pantry, KarenHands Ministry, Fellowship Christian Center Church, Douglass Visions Committee Inc., Divine Tabernacle Church and Centro Misionero Latino Americano.
