Prestonwood Christian Academy has completed a renovation of its Upper School in Plano, adding more than 10,000 square feet of new and updated spaces for business, STEM, science, media production and other programs.
The project includes a new Business & Entrepreneurship Suite, STEM Lab, Spiritual Development Suite, International Student Program Suite and Broadcast Command Center, as well as six renovated science laboratories.
“This renovation represents far more than new classrooms – it reflects our commitment to preparing students for the future while remaining firmly rooted in our mission to develop Christ-centered leaders,” PCA Superintendent Michael Goddard said.
The Business & Entrepreneurship Suite features a collaborative classroom and executive boardroom where students can conduct meetings, present business proposals and participate in simulations and other projects.
PCA also modernized six science laboratories with new cabinetry, epoxy resin work surfaces, upgraded plumbing and electrical systems, interactive instructional technology and enhanced safety features.
A dedicated STEM Lab will provide space for the school’s robotics teams, STEM Honors students, engineering classes and Science Olympiad competitors to design, build and prepare for competitions.
The renovation also includes a new Broadcast Command Center equipped with professional-grade production technology. The facility is designed to give students hands-on experience in media and communications while expanding the school’s ability to livestream events across campus, including athletic competitions, fine arts performances and academic events.
According to TDLR, the Upper School Library Conversion took three months and cost $300,000. Prestonwood Christian Academy said donor contributions funded the renovation. The school did not provide a total project cost.
