Goodwill will hold the grand opening of a new store at 3000 McDermott Road on Aug. 13.
The location, formerly a Walgreens, closed in April 2025. It is expected to serve approximately 300,000 customers each year and will be Goodwill’s first small-format store, according to WFAA. The new store will repurpose the former Walgreens site, create 70 jobs and provide a convenient donation center for area residents.
The store will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
