Gothic-themed restaurant coming soon to Tollway and Park

1900 N Dallas Parkway may soon be a gothic-themed restaurant called Haunted Castle Cafe.
What exactly does a gothic ambiance consist of? We may soon find out as Haunted Castle Cafe comes to 1900 N. Dallas Parkway.

Have you seen the coming soon sign on the corner of Tollway and Park? The Haunted Castle Cafe sign is no April Fool’s Joke. Here’s what we know so far:

  1. Neighbors noticed the sign pop up in early April.
  2. The spot has had trouble keeping a restaurant. According to some neighbors, Tenaya Wild Boar opened there around 2001, but didn’t last long. The building laid mostly vacant (with the exception of Mexican restaurant Los Cucos, which lasted a few years) until the pandemic, when it was gutted and turned into a ghost kitchen called Crave Delivery.
  3. The county appraisal district still has the building listed as Crave Delivery, though the location is no longer listed on Crave Kitchens’ websites.
  4. The building was put back on the market in November.

We contacted the Haunted Castle Cafe owners, and it seems they’re not quite ready to let the cat out of the bag yet. Here’s what they were able to tell us:
