Dylan Rafaty is a Plano resident and disability rights advocate who has worked relentlessly to pave the way for special education reform and disability rights. As someone who has hearing loss and physical disabilities, he understands firsthand the importance of advocating on behalf of people who have unique obstacles in daily life.
Because of his work specifically advocating for people with hearing loss, Dylan is a finalist for the national 2020 Oticon Focus on People Awards.
Dylan founded DylanListed, a transition support services provider, and is Head of Accessibility Strategy & Partnerships for C-Hear, Inc. He has served on the Texas Governor’s Committee for People with Disabilities. He also is the author of “Occupy Special Education – Children Should Be Seen and Heard.” This year, he was inducted into the Susan M. Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.
