Bonnie Ruth’s Plano, an upscale neighborhood bistro that recently relocated from Watters Creek in Allen, is now open at 2432 Preston Road in Plano. Owners Bonnie Ruth Lanace and Beau Stovall said they have a lot of faith in their new location and are excited to be a part of this community.
“I lived in Plano when I first moved to the Dallas area when I was 20 years old. I actually waited tables at the Chili’s that used to be at Park and Preston,” said Bonnie Ruth. “I really believe in [this area].”
Bonnie Ruth’s Plano has an extensive menu offering European-inspired brunch dishes, sandwiches, soups, salads and appetizers like the Croque Monsieur, Potato and Goat Cheese Croquettes and Onion Soup Gratinée. The eatery also offers bistro classics for lunch and dinner, like Grilled Norwegian Salmon, Steak Frites and Penne Niçoise.
For those trying to watch their caloric intake, Bonnie Ruth’s Plano also offers “Glo” items, which are lighter in calories, nutrient-dense and lower on the glycemic index.
To top it all off, Bonnie Ruth’s Plano serves a variety of freshly made desserts and offers a full afternoon tea. For those who enjoy adult libations, the bar specializes in handcrafted, retro cocktails including an assortment of martinis as well as a Manhattan, Gin Rickey, Pastis and small-batch bourbons.
“We do everything from scratch the old-fashioned way,” said Bonnie Ruth. “Doing things this way takes more time and effort, but we feel it’s worth it.”
Bonnie Ruth’s is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.Bonnie Ruth's Plano >
