New Restaurants Coming to The Shops at Willow Bend

We recently told you about big changes coming to The Shops at Willow Bend in West Plano in 2017-2018 with its $125-million dollar renovation and expansion. Today The Shops announced three restaurants showcasing very different cuisines that will be joining its culinary line-up at the end of this year.

Celebrity chef and recent “Top Chef” contestant John Tesar will be bringing another location of Knife, his highly-awarded Dallas restaurant, to The Shops. Knife’s menu will include fresh seafood, vegetarian entrees, 300+ wines, and no doubt, the Texas-raised all natural steaks that his Dallas location is known for.

Mexican Bar Company will bring flavors from south of the border to West Plano. A new concept from a James Beard Foundation renowned chef, the contemporary eatery will feature an updated take on classic Mexican street food and will also offer handmade corn tortillas and freshly prepared ceviche, guacamole and salsas. The bar menu promises to reflect the Mexican culture as well.

Terra Mediterranean, originally opened in Dallas by Adam and Jalal Chanaa, the same brothers behind the chain of Ali Baba restaurants, will be opening a West Plano location at The Shops at Willow Bend. The fresh, healthy cuisine features classic such as kabobs, hummus, moussaka and gyros. Diners can enjoy a daytime lunch buffet with a range of Mediterranean favorites or specialty items like grilled sea bass or lamb chops at dinner. This new location will be approximately 6,200-sqaure-feet with two levels and two patios.

The redeveloped parts of The Shop at Willow Bend will open in phases throughout this year and into 2018. When complete, the shopping center will boast a new main entrance, up to eight chef-driven restaurants, a seven-story office tower, a high-end fitness club and entertainment venues. The mall will also receive a more contemporary aesthetic interior remodel.
