The Maura Award and Young Leader Award are annual awards given out by Texas Women’s Foundation (TWF) each year to recognize those who have positively impacted the lives of women and girls. TWF, an organization in Dallas that empowers women and girls to build stronger, more equitable communities, has opened up its website for nominations for the 2021 awards.

The Maura Award is known as the “Women Helping Women” award. Nominees for this award are women who utilize their role in leadership to advance opportunities to serve the needs of women and girls, have dedicated much of their time to serving women and girls, are former or current Texas residents, and are 40 years old or older.

The Young Leader Award was created to recognize emerging leadership. Nominees for this award are women who are high achievers in their field, are creating a path of opportunity for others to follow, are former or current Texas residents, and are between 18 and 39 years old.

The deadline for nominations is Nov. 13. Award recipients will be honored at the Leadership Forum and Awards Event in the spring of 2021. Nominations can be made at the link below.
