North Texas Performing Arts receives grant from National Endowment for the Arts

North Texas Performing Arts has received a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in support of the Starcatchers Summer Stage Series program.

This is the first time the NTPA has received a grant from the NEA. NTPA is also one of three theaters in Dallas awarded in this round of grants.

The Starcatchers program, now in its 25th year, provides therapeutic performing and visual arts courses to children and adults with cognitive disabilities. Throughout the summer, participants will engage in barrier-free theater, which will allow them to be playwrights and performers.

“This project provides an incredible opportunity to continue the ongoing conversation with our audience and community as a whole about dismantling barriers within the performing arts,” said managing director Riley Graygrove.

The Willow Bend Center of the Arts is located at 6121 W. Park Blvd. B216.
