May is Older Americans Month, and Plano Parks and Recreation is hosting their 22nd annual Senior Information and Wellness Fair.
The event seeks to provide information for retired and pre-retired individuals on senior living options, financial planning, funeral pre-planning, insurance options, personal care services as well as on-site free health screenings, hand and chair massages, door prizes and food trucks.
The event will take place at Sam Johnson Recreation Center, 401 West 16th Street, on May 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately $40,000 Plano residents over the age of 65, over 14% of the population.
