Three upcoming restaurant openings in Plano

Flying Fish, Desperados Mexican Restaurant and TRU Bowl Superfood Bar are set to open in Plano soon.

As the old adage says, “When one door closes, another door opens.” And that couldn’t be truer for Plano’s dining scene. Here are just three of the restaurants opening in the coming months:

Flying Fish is set to open a second Plano location at 4032 Preston Road in January, occupying the former Dickey’s BBQ space.

Desperados Mexican Restaurant, which currently has a location in Garland and on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, is opening a Plano location in the Willow Bend Shopping Center this fall. While a grand opening date is TBD, construction began in September.

TRŪ Bowl Superfood Bar is opening its first Texas location at The Shops at Granite Park. The restaurant serves up açaí, pitaya and superfood bowls, and is planning a January soft opening followed by a grand opening in March.
