Downtown Plano hosts 2026 banner design contest for youth artists

The contest is open to youth artists ages 5-18, and submissions will be accepted through January 29.

Downtown Plano is currently accepting submissions for its spring-themed 2026 Street Banner Design Contest. The contest is open to youth artists ages 5-18, with an entry deadline of January 29. Ten winners will be selected to receive a $100 prize and have their artwork will displayed throughout downtown Plano’s 15th Street Artist District.

At-a-glance:

  • Eligible to youth ages 5-18, residing within Plano ISD
  • Spring theme, bright colors suggested
  • Digital or physical artwork, 8” x 11” vertical orientation
  • Digital art must be high-resolution, minimum 3.5 MB
  • Physical art is preferred on unlined paper or canvas

Digital entries may be submitted via email to michelleha@plano.gov. Physical entries can be dropped off at Bibliobar, Ten 20 Art Gallery or the downtown Plano Municipal Center at 1520 K Avenue. Please label artwork with the child’s name and age, parent’s contact information, and zip code. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 29. See Instagram for complete details.
